Análise e detecção da ansiedade, depressão e stress em adolescentes entre os 12 e 18 anos

A temática da saúde mental na adolescência tem sido até ao momento um tópico de investigação pouco estudado no nosso país, havendo, contudo, já alguns estudos realizados nos últimos dez anos, tendo vindo a despertar um interesse junto da comunidade académica. Para efetuar este estudo optou-se por utilizar uma metodologia quantitativa, recorrendo-se a um tipo de estudo descritivo-correlacional transversal, tendo sido para tal utilizado como instrumento de recolha de dados um questionário, cujos dados foram sujeitos a uma análise estatística e posterior inferência, bem como uma discussão de resultados. A amostra é composta por 65 adolescentes com idades compreendidas entre os 12 e os 18 anos que frequentam o 3º ciclo do ensino básico (7º ao 12º ano de escolaridade), na escola pública do concelho de Macedo de Cavaleiros, distrito de Bragança. Os resultados obtidos mostram que s alunos obtêm valores mais elevados em Stress e mais baixos em depressão, sendo os valores de Stress significativamente superiores aos de ansiedade.
O procedimento utilizado para a realização deste trabalho segue várias fases, sendo que a primeira fase é tentar seguir a “sequência de passos” referidos no “processo de investigação” proposto por Barker, Pistrang & Elliott (2016, p. 3-4), são eles: 1 - Fundamentos; 2- medição; 3- desenho. A quarta etapa: análise, interpretação e disseminação.
Este projeto tem como principal objetivo contribuir para a investigação já existente sobre saúde mental na adolescência, através de uma revisão da literatura e da aplicação de uma escala na comunidade escolar. Assim procurou-se na literatura mais pertinente a base científica desta temática de forma a identificar a dimensão do problema e a importância do tema, numa abordagem psicossocial. No intuito de ampliar os estudos sobre depressão em adolescentes.
Foi realizada uma revisão sistemática da bibliográfica nas bases de dados Pubmed, Scielo, Lilacs e Web of Science, publicados desde 2010. Sendo excluídas amostra com idades inferior a dez anos e superior a dezoito anos, revisões sistemáticas da literatura, bem como patologias associadas. Incluí artigos completos em Inglês e Português, com as seguintes palavras-chave: “depression”, “adolescents”, “risc fators”, “intervention” e o equivalente em português, de forma isolada ou com o conector “e” e “and”. Para a recolha e análise dos dados obtidos, será utilizado o método PRISMA.
The theme of mental health in adolescence has so far been a research topic little studied in our country, but there are already some studies conducted in the last ten years, having been arousing an interest among the academic community. To carry out this study we chose to use a quantitative methodology, using a type of descriptive-correlational cross-sectional study, and a questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument, whose data were subjected to a statistical analysis and subsequent inference, as well as a discussion of results. The sample is composed of 65 adolescents aged between 12 and 18 years who attend the 3rd cycle of basic education (7th to 12th year of schooling), in the public school of the municipality of Macedo de Cavaleiros, district of Bragança.The results show that students obtain higher values in Stress and lower values in depression, with Stress values being significantly higher than those of anxiety. The procedure used to carry out this work follows several phases, and the first phase is to try to follow the "sequence of steps" referred to in the "investigation process" proposed by Barker, Pistrang & Elliott (2016, p. 3-4), they are: 1 - Fundamentals; 2- measurement; 3- drawing. The fourth stage: analysis, interpretation and dissemination. This project aims to contribute to the existing research on mental health in adolescence, through a review of the literature and the application of a scale in the school community. Thus, the most pertinent literature sought the scientific basis of this theme in order to identify the dimension of the problem and the importance of the theme, in a psychosocial approach. Individuals aged less than ten years and older than eighteen years, systematic reviews of the literature, as well as associated pathologies were excluded.
