Com a evoluĆ§Ć£o dos sistemas de ancoragem esquelĆ©tica rĆgida, a Ortodontia ganhou uma enorme ajuda no que diz respeito Ć s possibilidades de tratamento. A utilizaĆ§Ć£o de miniplacas para a movimentaĆ§Ć£o de segundos molares inferiores impactados tem facilitado e auxiliado o trabalho dos ortodontistas neste tipo de terapĆŖutica e permite realizar tipos de movimentos e aplicaƧƵes de forƧas que anteriormente eram difĆceis, ou mesmo, impossĆveis de se executar. Este trabalho tem como objetivo fazer uma revisĆ£o de literatura do uso de ancoragem esquelĆ©tica rĆgida com miniplacas a fim de reportar a sua aplicaĆ§Ć£o, vantagens e desvantagens na verticalizaĆ§Ć£o de segundo molares inferiores impactados, para que possa ser sugerida esta tĆ©cnica como uma boa escolha no manejo destes casos.
With the evolution of rigid skeletal Anchorage systems, Orthodontics has gained a great help regarding to treatment possibilities. The use of miniplates to move impacted lower second molars has facilitated and assisted the work of orthodontists in this type of therapy and allowed some movements and applications of forces that were previously difficult or even impossible to achieve. This work aims to make a literature review of the use of rigid skeletal anchorage with mini plates in order to reports its application, advantages and disadvantages in uprighting impacted lower second molars, so that we can suggest this technique as a good choice in the management of these cases.
