| dc.description.abstract | Atualmente, a demanda por próteses implantossuportadas está constantemente a aumentar, o que requer um volume ósseo suficiente podendo levar á necessidade de contributos ósseos. Estas contribuições ósseas podem ser feitas usando osso autógeno ou biomateriais. A existência de deficiências ósseas na região posterior da maxila pode exigir um enchimento parcial do seio maxilar, quando o espaço inter-arcadas é normal, mas a altura do osso-sinusal é insuficiente para a colocação de um implante. Esse preenchimento pode ser feito por meio de duas técnicas, a elevação do seio pela janela de acesso lateral e a elevação do seio transcrestal. A cavidade do seio deve ser analizada cuidadosamente pela tomografia pré-operatório para analisar a presença de septos, a posição da artéria alveolar antral, a morfologia do seio maxilar e a membrana (referido como membrana Schneider) e a presença de possíveis patologias para limitar quaisquer complicações durante o procedimento cirúrgico. | dc.description.abstract | Currently, the demand for implant-supported prosthesis is constantly increasing, which requires a sufficient bone volume, therefore the use of bone matérial is necessary in some cases. The treatment of these bone defects in the posterior maxillary region may require partial filling of the maxillary sinus when the inter-arch space is normal but the sub sinus bone height is insufficient for placement of an implant. This filling can be done using two techniques, the sinus elevation by lateral access window and the transcrestal sinus elevation. The sinus cavity must be carefully examined by the preoperative CT scan in order to detect the presence of septum, the position of the antral alveolar artery, the morphology of the sinus and its membrane (called Schneiderian membrane) and the presence of possible pathologies to limit any complications during the surgical procedure. The reliability of these techniques has no longer to be proven, the implant survival rate following sinus elevation being equivalent to those obtained in the native bone and close to 97%. | pt_PT |
