| dc.description.abstract | A pandemia COVID-19 impôs mudanças significativas na vida das pessoas, nomeadamente na maneira como as habitações foram utilizadas durante os períodos de confinamento, forçando-as a redefinir o papel do lar. Durante a pandemia, as medidas de isolamento social obrigaram as pessoas a permanecerem fechadas em casa, o que levou a uma reflexão sobre como a casa, originalmente concebida como um refúgio seguro, se transformou num espaço de confinamento, onde o convívio familiar se misturou com o trabalho, o estudo e a ausência de vida social. As restrições de movimento e o aumento significativo do tempo passado em casa impulsionaram uma reavaliação do espaço habitacional, com um foco acentuado na funcionalidade e no bem-estar dos residentes. No final, este trabalho forneceu uma visão de como os portugueses utilizaram as suas habitações durante a pandemia, destacando a importância das adaptações realizadas, as mudanças nos padrões de trabalho e estudo, bem como os desafios enfrentados. Os modelos tipológicos aplicados ofereceram uma abordagem sistemática para categorizar esses comportamentos, contribuindo para uma compreensão mais completa da experiência das pessoas durante esse período desafiador. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The COVID-19 pandemic imposed significant changes on people’s lives, in particular on the way homes were used during periods of confinement, forcing them to redefine the role of a home. During the pandemic, social isolation measures obligated people to remain inside their homes which led to reflection about how a home, originally conceived as a place of refuge, turned into a confinement space where family time blended with work, study, and an absence of social life. The restrictions on movement and the significant increase in time spent at home triggered a reevaluation of the home space with a stronger focus on functionality and the wellbeing of its inhabitants. The present study provides a vision of how the Portuguese used their homes during the pandemic, highlighting the importance of the adaptations made, the changes in work and study habits experienced, and the obstacles faced. The typological models applied provide a systematic approach for categorizing these behaviors and contribute to a better understanding of people’s experiences during this difficult period. | pt_PT |
