O sucesso da cirurgia com implantes subperiosteais depende da capacidade do medico dentista
de planear a estrutura e articular-se com o laboratório de próteses, a fim de preservar estruturas
anatômicas do processo maxilar e mandibular, evitando complicações cirúrgicas e o processo
de cicatrização.
O objetivo deste trabalho é revisar a bibliografia disponível e identificar as indicações e contraindicações, da reabilitação utilizando implantes subperiosteais.
Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica nas bases de dados B-On, PubMed,
Medline, ScienceDirect e Google Scholar.
The success of surgery with subperiosteal implants depends on the dentist's ability to plan the structure and to articulate with the prosthesis laboratory in order to preserve noble anatomical structures of the maxillary and mandibular process, avoiding surgical complications and the healing process. The objective of this work is to review the available bibliography and to identify the indications and contraindications, of rehabilitation using subperiosteal implants. To this end, a bibliographic search was performed in the databases B-On, PubMed, Medline, ScienceDirect and Google Scholar.
