Alcoholism is a chronic disease characterized by the need of the individual to consume alcohol without stopping despite all the consequences. Alcohol causes psychological and physical dependence, interfering at various levels of functioning (family, social and labor) leading to destructive behaviors for themselves and those around you. According to literature, alcoholic individuals are often from broken homes and its relationship with the family is troubled. The work that is currently being presented addresses issues related to alcoholism, this theme relates to the family and focuses on the technical intervention in the treatment process. The study concerns the perception of the alcoholic patient on the intervention of the family in treatment, recovery (maintenance of abstinence) and social reintegration, as well as other support, for example, social. In terms of results, it emphasizes the need for the alcoholic patient to change attitudes and behavior towards alcohol intake (difficult, since without the help of people nearby and the various technical players, most go back to drinking within a few days or weeks) and the effort of maintaining abstinence. The treatment of alcoholism is always appropriate to each individual and can count on the support of family members is useful, so the main objective of this work was to interpret and analyze if users have any rear family or other support in their treatment (networks / social support, for example) and how these supports are seen by the individual.
