Abstract(s)
Introdução: as posturas corretas adotadas durante a infância são de extrema importância para um desenvolvimento saudável da coluna vertebral. Objetivo: avaliar o grau de conhecimento da postura em crianças do ensino básico. Métodos: as crianças foram submetidas a 3 momentos de avaliação: a primeira avaliação corresponde a uma avaliação teórica, em que consistiu de um questionário composto por 17 perguntas com atividades do dia-a-dia relacionadas com a postura. O segundo momento de avaliação consistiu numa avaliação teórico-prática, foram colocadas 10 imagens com posturas corretas e incorretas em que a criança tinha que identificar a postura correta, nesta mesma avaliação, foi pedido à criança para desenhar a coluna vertebral vista de lado e de frente. Por último a avaliação prática, realizado por um fisioterapeuta, foram realizadas 10 atividades diferentes relacionadas com a postura. Resultados: a amostra foi composta por 20 alunos com idades entre os 6 e os 9 anos, que frequentaram o A.T.L. do Centro Social Padre Manuel Joaquim de Sousa. Apesar dos bons conhecimentos teóricos adquiridos pelas crianças sobre a postura, as crianças apresentam maus resultados na prática. Conclusão: as crianças apesar de possuírem conhecimentos teóricos na prática das atividades não o fazem de forma correta.
Introduction: the correct postures adopted during childhood are extremely important for a healthy development of the spine. Objective: To evaluate the level of knowledge of posture in children's education. Methods: Children were subjected to 3 time points: the first assessment corresponds to a theoretical evaluation, which consisted of a questionnaire composed of 17 questions with day-to-day related to posture. The second assessment consisted of a written and practical evaluation, were placed 10 images with correct and incorrect postures in which the child had to identify the correct posture, this same evaluation, the child was asked to draw the side view of the spine and opposite. Finally a practical assessment conducted by a physical therapist, there were 10 different activities related to posture. Results: The sample consisted of 20 students aged 6 to 9 years, who attended the ATL Social Centre Padre Manuel Joaquim de Sousa. Despite good theoretical knowledge acquired by children about posture, children have poor results in practice. Conclusion: children despite having theoretical knowledge in practical activities do not do correctly.
