Abstract(s)
Desde sua idealização por Quirynen et al. em 1995, a desinfeção total de boca em
estágio único tem sido uma terapia amplamente estudada e modificada. Este trabalho
teve como foco principal avaliar os resultados clínicos e microbiológicos apresentados
por diferentes antimicrobianos associados a esta terapia. Foi realizada uma revisão na
literatura científica na base de dados: PubMed, com o seguinte descritor: One-stage fullmouth
disinfection. Os resultados clínicos e microbiológicos dos diferentes
antimicrobianos associados a desinfeção total de boca em estágio único foram
comparados. Após se avaliar os parâmetros clínicos como profundidade de sondagem,
nível clínico de inserção, sangramento à sondagem e índice de placa e também os
microbiológicos, concluiu-se que as terapias associadas ao uso de amoxicilina +
metronidazol foram as que apresentaram os melhores resultados.

The clinical and microbiological results of the different antimicrobials associated with one-stage full-mouth disinfection were compared. After assessing the clinical parameters such as probing depth, clinical level of insertion, bleeding on probing, plaque index and also microbiological results, it was concluded that the therapies associated with the use of amoxicillin + metronidazole were the ones that presented the best results.
