A morte é um fenómeno natural que é interpretada de diversas formas de acordo com a sociedade na qual uma pessoa se encontra inserida, sendo também influenciadas pelas vivências de cada indivíduo ao longo da vida. Em Portugal, a morte é vista como um momento de tristeza que deixara um vazio na vida das pessoas próximas e, habitualmente, é realizada uma cerimónia fúnebre para que seja possível os familiares, amigos e as pessoas significativas se despedirem.
O presente Projeto de Graduação, foi elaborado por uma aluna de Licenciatura em Enfermagem que, devido à interpretação pessoal acerca da morte, sentiu a necessidade de aprofundar os seus conhecimentos acerca da mesma, a fim de facilitar a sua interação em situações relativas a morte, com o objetivo de se tornar uma profissional mais competente neste aspeto.
Assim, esta elaborou o trabalho de investigação sobre a Opinião da População relativamente ao comportamento do Enfermeiro Hospitalar acerca da morte, para compreender melhor de que forma o comportamento dos Enfermeiros é interpretado pela sociedade e para que no futuro ela consiga adequar o seu comportamento da melhor forma.
Deste modo, o presente documento é constituído pela Fase Concetual, no qual a autora elaborou a questão de investigação, o objetivo do estudo e realizou uma revisão da literatura. A Fase Metodológica, em que a aluna definiu as variáveis, a população alvo e a amostra, o método escolhido para a colheita de dados, estabeleceu o tipo de investigação, sendo que o presente estudo assenta num estudo quantitativo, descritivo simples, realizou o pré-teste e uma breve revisão da ética em investigação. Por último, segue a Fase Empírica na qual consta a análise e discussão dos dados obtidos pelo inquérito.
Death is a natural phenomenon interpreted in a number of ways depending mainly on the society in which a person finds itself in and, also, by each individual’s experiences throughout life. In Portugal, death is seen as a moment of sadness that leaves a vacuum in the life of friends and family, usually a funeral ceremony is held for people to pay condolences and say their last goodbyes. This Graduation Project was made by a Graduating Nursing student that due to her personal interpretation of death, felt the need to further deepen her knowledge on the subject, so that in the future it would be easier for her to handle death-related situations and become a more competent professional in this field. Therefore, she made an investigation about the Opinion of the Population relating to the behavior of Hospital Nurses about death, to better understand in which way Nurses behavior is seen by society, so that in the future she can adapt her own behavior and, due that, have a better approach. In this way, the present document is constituted by the Conceptual Phase, in which the author addresses the matter of the question being investigated, the objective and did a literary revision; the Methodological Phase in which the student defined the variables, the target for the study and its sample, the method chosen for collecting data and in which established the type of investigation to conduct, it being that the present study is based on a quantitative study, simply descriptive; lastly the Empiric Phase in which the analysis and discussion of the data gathered is inserted.
