Abstract(s)
RPDs (removable partial dentures) are an important part of dental rehabilitation as they improve the patient's function, appearance and, most significantly, oral-related quality of life. The introduction of CAD/CAM technologies for designing the fabrication of removable partial dentures provides an alternative to traditional casting procedures, which can be difficult and prone to failure in the final product. The aim of this paper will be to analyze and verify the accuracy of printing of this new technology in the design of removable partial dentures. The research method will be data collection with search engines such as Pubmed or the National Center for Biotechnological Information using the following keywords: CAD/CAM, RPD, Removable partial denture. It is clear that the use of CAD/CAM allows for greater precision and a number of consequential advantages that make this technology the future of PPR and the prosthetic field in general. However, it is necessary for the price of this technology to decrease to allow more global use.
