Abstract(s)
Assim a investigação teve as seguintes palavras-chaves: dental reimplantation (reimplante dentário), traumatology (traumatologia), traumatic dentario (traumatologia dentário), tooth avulsion (avulsão dentário).
The guidelines of the International Association of Dental Traumatology (IADT) and textbooks on pediatric dentistry do not recommend reimplantation in deciduous teeth, thus the importance of this work being focused on permanent teeth. This paper aimed to discuss aspects related to trauma and avulsion, providing information in the urgent care. Using Pubmed and google academic databases, and selecting as temporal criteria articles between 2001 and 2020 in English and Portuguese. Thus, the research used the following keywords: dental reimplantation, traumatology, traumatic dental, tooth avulsion. Complications associated with reimplantation can arise and depend on several factors such as the stage of root development, means of storage and transportation, length of time the avulsed tooth has been kept extra-orally, type and duration of retention. Resorption by bone replacement (ankylosis) is the main cause of loss of the reimplanted tooth.
