Abstract(s)
O crime é algo que está presente na sociedade humana desde que esta se desenvolveu e se estabeleceu. Nesse sentido, podemos verificar na literatura atual que existem diversas formas de prevenção deste fenómeno de modo a que se possa tentar proteger o maior número de pessoas possível nas sociedades. O presente projecto de graduação foca-se em como podemos utilizar a mediação enquanto fator na prevenção de crimes e possível desconstrução de comportamentos propícios ao desenvolvimento de atos criminais. Numa primeira parte, o presente projeto de graduação irá abordar o conflito, a mediação, onde pode ser esta utilizada, as suas limitações e ainda se faz uma breve apresentação sobre a mediação em Portugal, na Europa e no Canadá. Numa segunda parte deste projeto, é apresentada uma proposta de investigação sobre a forma de uma entrevista a indivíduos que tenham recorrido aos serviços de mediação penal, aos funcionários das instituições judiciais e a mediadores de forma a perceber como a mediação impactou na vida dos mesmos, em que aspetos poderia haver uma melhoria e finalmente como poderia a mediação ser desenvolvida em Portugal.
Crime is something that is present in human society since it’s establishment and development. In that regard, we can see in today’s literature various forms to prevent this phenomenon and to protect the maximum amount of people possible in a society. The present graduation project focuses on mediation as a factor to prevent crimes as well as being a possible deconstructor of behaviors that may develop into criminal acts. In the first part of this graduation project, will approach conflict, mediation, where it can be applied, it’s limit, and a presentation of this method in Portugal, Europe and in Canada. In the second half of this project, will be presented a proposal of investigation in the form of an interview to individuals who have used the services of mediation, the employees of judicial institutions and mediators in order to understand the impact that mediation has had in their lives, in which aspects it can be perfected and finally how can mediation be further developed in Portugal.
