Abstract(s)
Odontopediatria, avaliar a eficácia, segurança, indicações e efeitos adversos deste fármaco.
It was intended to elaborate a narrative review with the following objectives: to analyze the usefulness of Phentolamine Mesylate in the context of the medical-dental consultation in Pediatric Dentistry, evaluate the efficacy, safety, indications and adverse effects of this drug. To elaborate this review, a bibliographic search was carried out using Pubmed and Google Schoolar search engines, associated with consultation of specific manuals of clinical procedures in Pediatric Dentistry. In this context, Phentolamine Mesylate, among other alternatives, presents itself as a drug indicated for the reversal of soft tissue anesthesia resulting from an intraoral injection of a local thought the increase blood flow in the deposition area of the drug, consequently accelerating the recovery of the initial tactile sensation and normal function of the tissues, contributing to the reduction of the time of elimination of the anesthetic previously used.
