Abstract(s)
Objectives: The present narrative review aims to evaluate the most appropriate therapy for root sensitivity in periodontally compromised patients. Materials and Methods: A search was performed using the Pubmed / MEDLINE data-base. Only systematic reviews and meta-analyzes published in English or Portuguese were included. No time limits were employed. The search resulted in a total of 8 items. Results: Due to the great heterogeneity and dispersion of results between the studies, it was not possible to identify the most advantageous therapy with proven superior effec-tiveness in the reduction of root sensitivity in patients with periodontitis. Conclusions: More studies, with more scientific evidence, are necessary to be able to advise one therapeutic approach over another.
