| dc.description.abstract | Objectivo: O objetivo deste estudo é avaliar a posição, sagital e vertical, do incisivo inferior e superior e do lábio inferior através de duas análises cefalométricas existentes, a análise cefalométrica de Ricketts e, a mais recente, análise geométrica desenvolvida por Silva, C.. Material e Métodos: A amostra trata-se de 200 pacientes, sendo que 110 são género feminino e 90 são do género masculino. Através dos parâmetros de Ricketts e da análise geométrica fez-se a avaliação da posição da posição sagital e vertical do incisivo inferior e superior e do lábio inferior. Ambos os traçados foram efetuados por um profissional experiente. Resultados: Na análise geométrica verifica-se um predomínio de posições retruidas quer para o incisivo superior, quer para o inferior, assim como para o lábio inferior. No que respeita à posição vertical, 46,5% dos incisivos superiores têm que extruir, por apresentarem uma posição vertical negativa ao contrário dos inferiores que se apresentam extruidos em 75,5%. Na análise de Ricketts verifica-se um predomínio da normalidade quando se avalia a posição sagital e vertical do incisivo inferior e a posição do lábio inferior. Quando se avalia o incisivo superior os resultados mostram que estes se encontram maioritariamente protruídos e extruídos. Conclusão: Estas diferenças de conceitos, torna possível obter observações clínicas e diagnósticos diferentes nos pacientes estudados. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the sagittal and vertical position of the lower and upper incisors and the lower lip through two existing cephalometric analyzes, the cephalometric analysis of Ricketts and the more recent geometric analysis developed by Silva, C.. Material and Methods: The sample consisted of 200 patients, 110 of which were female and 90 were male. Through the Ricketts parameters and the geometric analysis, the position of the sagittal and vertical position of the lower and upper incisors and the lower lip were evaluated. Both tracings were performed by an experienced professional. Results: In the geometric analysis there is a predominance of retruded positions for both the upper and lower incisors, as well as for the lower lip. Regarding the vertical position, 46.5% of the upper incisors have to be extruded, because they have a negative vertical position as opposed to the inferior ones that are extruded in 75.5%. In Ricketts' analysis, a predominance of normality is observed when the sagittal and vertical position of the lower incisor and the position of the lower lip are evaluated. When the upper incisor is evaluated, the results show that these are mostly protruded and extruded. Conclusion: These differences of concepts make it possible to obtain different clinical and diagnostic observations in the patients studied. | pt_PT |
