Abstract(s)
Objectivo: Compreender as adaptações e lesões do ombro no andebolista e qual a sua importância para a Fisioterapia. Metodologia: Pesquisa computadorizada nas bases de dados Pubmed/Medline, Science Direct e PEDro para encontrar estudos caso-controlo e coorte que avaliem as adaptações e lesões no ombro dominante dos atletas e a sua importância na Fisioterapia. Resultados: Nesta revisão foram incluídos 10 artigos, sendo avaliada a sua qualidade metodológica com recurso à escala CASP. Conclusão: Foi possível comprovar que há adaptações morfofuncionais e lesões no ombro dominante do atleta e que as mesmas são induzidas pela repetição da prática desportiva. Também foi possível demonstrar a importância de se saber quais os tipos de lesões e adaptações do ombro do andebolista para a fisioterapia e como a mesma pode actuar nestes casos.

Conclusion: It was possible to prove that there are morphological and functional adaptations and shoulder injuries in the dominant athletes’s shoulder and that they are induced by repeating the sport. It was also possible to demonstrate the importance of knowing what kind of injuries and shoulder adaptations oh handball players for the physiotherapy and how it can act in such cases.
