Abstract(s)
The present article explores the relationships between psychosis and normalcy in two texts written by Diamela Eltit, El Padre Mío and Jamás el Fuego nunca. These books express terror and violence through their spatially and linguistically maze-like constructions as the political effects sought by the military dictatorship in Chile from 1973 to 1989; effects never repaired during the post-dictatorship period that have left a mortal imprint throughout the body of the citizenship through sickness, insanity, and death.
