| dc.description.abstract | O assunto principal é a hipertensão arterial e a questão de investigação deste trabalho é “Quais os conhecimentos dos alunos do 4º ano da licenciatura em Enfermagem da Universidade Fernando Pessoa sobre a hipertensão arterial?”, esta prende-se à sua importância para a prestação de cuidados. Procedeu-se à revisão de literatura sobre a hipertensão arterial para se perceber a sua pertinência. A hipertensão arterial define-se como o aumento da pressão arterial sistólica de 140mmHg e da pressão arterial diastólica de 90mmHg numa série com o mínimo de três avaliações. Usualmente não provoca quaisquer sintomas numa fase inicial. Existem no mundo 1 bilião de hipertensos e só em Portugal há 2 milhões, é um dos principais fatores de doenças cardiovasculares e o seu tratamento pode ser farmacológico ou não farmacológico. Os alunos 4º ano da licenciatura em Enfermagem da Universidade Fernando Pessoa são a população e 23 destes alunos são a amostra. O método é de investigação descritiva e a técnica de recolha de dados é um inquérito do tipo questionário. Em suma, os alunos apresentam um bom nível de informação sobre definição, diagnóstico, factores de risco e consequências, no entanto mostram um défice nos conhecimentos das medidas de prevenção e tratamento da hipertensão arterial. The theme is the arterial hypertension and the research question of this study is "What are the 4th year students' knowledge from of the degree in Nursing at the Fernando Pessoa University about arterial hypertension?", this relates to its importance in the provision of care. The literature on arterial hypertension has been reviewed to see its pertinence. Arterial hypertension is defined as the increase in systolic blood pressure of 140mmHg and diastolic blood pressure of 90mmHg in a series with a minimum of three evaluations. Usually it does not cause any symptoms at an early stage. Worldwide, there are 1 billion hypertensive individuals and just in Portugal and there are 2 million, it is one of the main factors of cardiovascular disease and its treatment can be pharmacological or non-pharmacological. Students in the 4th year of degree in Nursing from the Fernando Pessoa University are the population and the samples are 23 of these students. The method is the descriptive research and the data gathering technique is a survey-type questionnaire. In short, students show a good level of information on the definition, diagnosis, risk factors and consequences, however they showed a significant handicap in knowledge of prevention and treatment of arterial hypertension. | por |
