A presente revisão tem como papel central estudar as complicações técnicas e biológicas associadas a uma reabilitação com implantes num paciente com bruxismo. O bruxismo é um hábito para-funcional caracterizado pelo aperto e ranger de dentes e com etiologia multifatorial, mas ainda com poucas evidências e de difícil diagnóstico. O bruxismo é considerado dos principais fatores de risco para a reabilitação com implantes causando complicações biológicas e técnicas. As complicações técnicas e biológicas são discutidas em várias revisões sistemáticas, com maior evidência para as técnicas.
Métodos: pesquisa bibliográfica, recorrendo à Pub-Med, B-on e Google, consultando livros e artigos de jornais, sem limite temporal.

Bruxism is a para-functional habit characterized by clenching and grinding of teeth. And with multifactorial etiology, but still with little evidence and difficult diagnosis. Bruxism is considered one of the main risk factors for implant rehabilitation causing biological and technical complications. The technical and biological complications are discussed in several systematic reviews, with greater evidence for the technical ones. Methods: Bibliographic research, using Pub-Med, B-on and Google, consulting books and newspaper articles, with no time limit.
