Abstract(s)
Introdução: a pubalgia atlética é referida como uma síndrome pois pode resultar de várias lesões diferentes, definindo-se assim como dor na região da virilha, coxa medial, abdómen inferior ou região púbica. Na literatura são descritas diferentes intervenções de fisioterapia para a pubalgia atlética, apresentando bons resultados a reabilitação ativa. Objetivo: analisar as diferentes intervenções de fisioterapia existentes que sejam eficazes no tratamento da pubalgia atlética. Metodologia: a pesquisa foi realizada na base de dados Pubmed, PEDro e Web of Science, com artigos randomizados controlados, desde 2008 até à atualidade. Após a seleção
dos estudos, seguindo os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, foi efetuada uma análise de qualidade metodológica através da escala de PEDro. Resultados: foram selecionados quatro artigos, cuja classificação metodológica obteve uma média de 6,25/10 na escala de PEDro. Os estudos incluíram um total de 334 participantes do género masculino e 1 do feminino, com idades compreendidas entre os 24,3 e 28,7 anos. A reabilitação ativa mostrou que é eficaz no tratamento desta síndrome sendo realizada em complementação com outras técnicas de fisioterapia. Conclusão: constatou-se que uma reabilitação ativa no tratamento da pubalgia
atlética promove uma diminuição da dor e um regresso maior à atividade desportiva.
Introduction: athletic pubalgia is referred to as a syndrome as it can result from several different options and is defined as pain in the groin, medial thigh, lower abdomen or pubic region. In the literature there are different physical therapy techniques for athletic pubalgia, this good results from active rehabilitation. Objective: to analyze the different existing physical therapy interventions that are effective in the treatment of athletic pubalgia. Methodology: the search was carried out in the Pubmed, PEDro and Web of Science databases with randomized controlled articles, from 2008 to the present. After selecting the studies, following the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a methodological quality analysis was performed using the PEDro scale. Results: four articles were selected, whose methodological classification obtained an average of 6,25/10 on the PEDro scale. The studies included a total of 334 male and 1 female participants, aged between 24,3 and 28,7 years. Active rehabilitation has shown that it is effective in the treatment of this syndrome, being carried out in addition to other physical therapy techniques. Conclusion: It was found that active rehabilitation in the treatment of athletic pubalgia promotes a decrease in pain and a greater return to sports activity.
