- Ancestral knowledge and the cosmopolitics of healing in Afro-Brazilian religionsPublication . Ramos, João Daniel Dorneles; Favaro, Jean Filipe; Corona, Hieda Maria PagliosaAfro-Brazilian religions enhance various entities and territories («orishas», plants, animals, substances and humans) that constitute their modes of existence. Their ancestral knowledge mobilizes not only religious attributes, since Nature and the Cosmos erupt in their practices. We present two ethnographies, carried out between 2011 and 2020 in three «terreiros», in the states of Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. In these modes of existence, the concept of healing goes beyond the biopsychosocial dimensions in a series of procedures (cleansing, blessings, prayers, herbal baths, teas, smoking, among others) that promote the restoration of health and well-being of these groups.

- Trilhando para a felicidade – sobre a presença e alcance da ética da virtude esportiva no domínio do «trekking»Publication . Souza, Juliano de; Garcia, Rui ProençaEsse artigo se propõe a um duplo desafio. Por um lado, procura esboçar algumas das bases constitutivas de uma ética da virtude esportiva em diálogo com a literatura especializada. Por outro, pretende demonstrar o modo com que esses valores são mobilizados no universo do «trekking» na contemporaneidade. Em termos metodológicos, o estudo é de natureza empírico-teórica e busca alinhar uma reflexão sociofilosófica sobre a ética da virtude esportiva por meio de um trabalho etnográfico realizado em Portugal. Conclui-se que a virtude esportiva pode ser sustentada como uma dimensão reflexiva constitutiva do «habitus» que circunda essa prática.
