Conclui-se que é fundamental rever e promover o funcionamento da Área Metropolitana do Porto. The possible fusion of Porto and Gaia raises the question of the reasons for having such an idea. The fusion can have some benefits, particularly for the space management, but it doesn’t seem to be the solution for the problems, or at least, the only solution. One can conclude that it is important to revise and promote the working of the Metropolitan area of Porto.
