Traditional materials used in dental waiting rooms, such as leaflets and posters, often fail to engage patients or to provide clear, actionable guidance on early detection. This study aimed to design and develop an interactive digital panel to address this gap and to support proactive self-monitoring among diverse patient populations. Clinical evidence was integrated with UX/UI design principles following a multidisciplinary approach. The intervention was structured using the TIDieR checklist to ensure procedural transparency and reproducibility, while the reporting also drew on the general principles of the SQUIRE 2.0 guidelines. The tool was built on the Genially platform and features AI-generated watercolour illustrations intended to present clinical information in an approachable visual format. Strategies such as intentional friction and modular information layering were implemented to manage cognitive load. The final tool is a seven-module interactive platform that guides users from basic anatomical knowledge to practical self-monitoring and clinical referral. Iterative review by the academic supervisors confirmed its clinical accuracy, pedagogical coherence, and emotional safety. A multilingual framework — Portuguese, English, French, and Spanish — supports accessibility across linguistically diverse populations. This study suggests that interactive digital media can turn the clinical waiting environment into a meaningful educational opportunity. The prototype provides a scalable, evidence-based foundation for improving early detection rates and strengthening health literacy in preventive oncology.
