Santos, Paula Isabel; Mesquita, EdgarNo sentido de avaliar o impacto da Polineuropatia Amiloidótica Familiar (PAF) na Ansiedade Perante a Morte (APM), foi administrada a Death Anxiety Scale (DAS) de Templer, a um total de 289 indivíduos, com idades entre os 18 e os 75 anos, distribuídos em 2 grupos; um ao qual não era conhecida qualquer doença ou ligação à PAF (GC), N= 202, e outro constituído por doentes com PAF (N= 87). Conclui-se que os doentes apresentam menor APM e que os níveis de ansiedade baixam à medida que decorre o tempo desde que se é doente. To assess the impact of Familial Amyloid Polyneuropathy (FAP) in Death Anxiety (DA) a total of 289 individuals, aged between 18 and 75 years, fulfill the Death Anxiety Scale (DAS) from Templer. The sample were divided into two groups, one of which was not known connection to any disease or PAF (GC), N = 202, and another consisting of patients with FAP (N = 87). It was concluded that patients present lower DA and death anxiety levels go down over time, since they are sick.
