Abstract(s)
Objectivo: O objetivo deste trabalho consiste numa revisão da literatura científica para fazer um balanço do Biodentine, focando as propriedades físico-químicas e biológicas do Biodentine e campos de aplicação do Biodentine.
Metodologia: Realizou-se uma revisão de literatura utilizando artigos publicados em revistas indexadas (Português/Inglês/Francês), on-line e/ou impressas em suporte de papel e livros disponíveis na biblioteca segundo os critérios de inclusão estabelecidos.
Principal tópico abordado: Numa primeira fase será abordado as propriedades físico-químicas e biológicas do Biodentine. Numa segunda fase será descrito os diferentes campos de aplicação do Biodentine (situações que requerem uma abordagem endodôntica, biocompatibilidade dos materiais e capacidade de regeneração dos tecidos dentários).

Methodology: A literature review was carried out using articles published in indexed journals (Portuguese/English/French), online and/or printed in paper support and books available in the library according to the established inclusion criteria. Main topic overview: In a first phase the physicochemical and biological properties of Biodentine will be addressed. In a second phase the different fields of application of Biodentine will be described (situations requiring an endodontic approach, biocompatibility of materials and regenerative capacity of dental tissues).
