Abstract(s)
Endodontics constantly seeks technological and scientific innovations to enable an increasingly efficient, conservative treatment, overcoming the difficulties facing more complex cases, reducing iatrogenesis. Thus emerged the concept of guided endodontics, initially with the static technique that associates cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), intraoral scanning and three-dimensional 3D printing to the endodontic treatment. Recently the technique using the dynamic navigation system, dispenses with the use of endodontic guides and is performed through virtual planning in a software itself with CBCT images and equipment that allow guiding the professional throughout the treatment in real time. The guided techniques have main indication of use in cases of pulp calcification. The aim of this review is to evaluate the current literature on the dynamic navigation system, highlighting its technique, indications, limitations, advantages and disadvantages, comparing with static guided endodontics and conventional endodontics.
