Abstract(s)
semanas, permite pré-visualizar o resultado final.
O Mock-up desempenha, portanto, um
O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar as contribuições do Mock-up nas reabilitações
estéticas, permitindo prefigurar o resultado final das reabilitações.
The demand for treatments with aesthetic goals has increased strongly over the last few years. Patients want to know the end result before committing to this type of rehabilitation. Aesthetic rehabilitation can have a major impact on the individuals performing these treatments. This is why the passage through the Interim stage, namely, the elaboration of a Mock-up can be seen as a priority. In this way, the prefiguration of the final result can be realized with support to methods that use keys in silicone or, the new techniques that rely on the use of digital technologies. Mock-up is a resin-based preview mold. This temporary mock- up can be placed in the patient's mouth for about two weeks, allows preview the final result. This little invasive technique for the teeth will also allow the dentist to ensure that the design with this type of prosthesis is the most convenient for the patient, both psychologically, as well as functional and aesthetic. The patient, for his part, can evaluate his "new smile" and give his opinion on the concrete and non-theoretical form of his smile. Mock-up therefore plays a key role in planning the desired treatment and allows better communication between the patient, the dentist and the denture specialist. The objective of this work is to present the contributions of the Mock-up in the aesthetic rehabilitations, allowing to prefigure the final result of the rehabilitations.
