| dc.description.abstract | A fenda labial e palatina é a malformação congénita mais comum da cabeça e pescoço. O tratamento requer uma abordagem multidisciplinar. O papel do ortodontista passa por restaurar a função e a estética acompanhando o paciente durante o tratamento, desde a infância até a idade adulta. Com esta revisão pretende-se analisar a literatura dos últimos cinco anos sobre a condição dentária do paciente com fenda labial e palatina após o enxerto ósseo alveolar secundário e esclarecer as opções de tratamento pós-cirúrgico desde uma perspectiva ortodôntica. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Cleft lip and palate is the most common congenital head and neck malformation. Its treatment requires the multidisciplinary management of the patient. The aim of the orthodontist is to restore the functionality and the aesthetics to attend the patient through the treatment, from infancy until adulthood. The aim of this review is to analyze the literature from the last 5 years about cleft lip and palate patients after secondary alveolar bone graft and to discuss post-surgical treatment options from an orthodontic point of view. | pt_PT |
