Este trabalho, na linha da tese de doutoramento (O Portugal de Miguel Torga – Um
Itinerário em Casa do Orfeu Rebelde), defendida na Universidade Fernando Pessoa em
2015, pretende dar um contributo para a Comunicação pela Arte através do
Literaturismo.
A imersão, gradual mas segura, que temos vindo a fazer – através da investigação, de
aulas, palestras e da prática dessa modalidade turística – tem-nos levado a duas
convicções, que se consolidam com o tempo:
1ª. O Literaturismo é a melhor forma de se ver «a alma das coisas» (Miguel Torga).
2ª. Portugal tem um Património Literário, Construído e Natural ideal para esta prática de
Turismo.
Sophia de Mello Breyner, que publicou durante cerca de sessenta anos, vivenciou e
registou – tal como o colega Torga - nos seus cadernos, um Portugal agrícola, piscatório
e sócio-político que já não existe, mas que é fundamental conhecermos para que nos
possamos conhecer.
Pensamos poder afirmar que são raros os casos de grandes artistas cuja vida e obra
podem ser, como acontece com Sophia, evocadas num tão exíguo espaço (entre a Graça
e o Terreiro do Paço). José Saramago tinha razão quando afirmava que para se conhecer
bem um km é necessário um ano.
This paper follows in the lines of my DOCTORATE’S thesis (Miguel Torga’s Portugal – an itinerary at «Orpheu Rebelde») submitted in 2015 at «Universidade Fernando Pessoa», claiming to donate a contribution to “Communication through Art” via “Literatourism”. The gradual and safe immersion that we do in classes, with lectures and by venturing in literatourism visits, led to two time-consolidated conclusions: 1º - Literatourism is the best approach to grasp the «soul of things» (torga) 2º - Portugal has a built, natural and literary heritage ideal for this practice of tourism. Sophia, who has published literary works throughout approximately sixty years, has experienced and recorded in her notebooks -as her colleague Torga did – a rural, a fishery-driven and a social political Portugal, which no longer exists but remains fundamental to be known in order to discover ourselves. We think we can affirm that indeed, very rare artists have had a life whose living experience and work can fit, as it happens with Sophia in such a limited geographical space (between the “Graça” neighbourhood and “Terreiro do Paço”). José Saramago had it right when he asserted that, to get to know well a Km, a complete year is necessary.
