O principal objetivo da colocação imediata de implantes é uma manutenção da função e
estética, assim como da arquitetura alveolar de modo a que se obtenha uma correta
osteointegração, para dessa forma se obter elevadas taxas de sucesso na reabilitação por
implantes.
A técnica Socket-shield constitui uma técnica inovadora que promete resolver todos estes
problemas, utilizando, para tal, a colocação imediata de implantes. Apesar de se revelar uma
técnica promissora, ainda nos deparamos com uma uma certa escassez em termos de estudos e
follow-ups a longo prazo.
Neste trabalho é descrito o sucesso no que diz respeito à colocação imediata de implantes,
bem como o protocolo e resultados já existentes relativos à técnica Socket-shield.
O mesmo foi realizado com o objetivo de analisar uma nova técnica de colocação imediata de
implantes em zona estética com preservação alveolar, que representa uma grande inovação na
medicina dentária, nomeadamente na área da implantologia.
The main objective of the immediate placement of implants is a maintenance of function and aesthetics, as well as the alveolar architecture in order to obtain a correct osseointegration in order to obtain high taxes of sucess in reahbilitation with implants. The socket-shield technique is an innovative technique that promises to solve all these problems by using immediate implant placement. Being a very promising technique there is still a lack of studies and long-term follow-ups. In this work is described the success of immediate implant placement, as well as the protocol and already existing results related to the Socket-shield technique. The aim of this work was to analise a new technique of immediate placement of implants in aesthetic zone with alveolar preservation, which represents a great innovation in dentistry, namely in the area of implantology.
