Resultados: Foram incluídos cinco estudos, que apresentam as seguintes escalas/instrumentos: escala de Gugging Swallowing Screen (GUSS); Functional Oral Intake Scale (FOIS) e o Fiberoptic Endoscopic Dysphagia Severeity Score (FEDSS); Massey Bedside Swallowing Screen; Post Extubation Dysphagia Screening Tool (PEDST) e Swalllowing Algorithm post extubation (SAPE).
Introduction: Dysphagia is a common condition and results from an abnormal swallowing process, with high prevalence worldwide. To answer the following question: What assessment instruments/scales are used for people with dysphagia in all care contexts? We intend to carry out a Scoping Review. Objective: Map current scientific evidence about instruments/scales for assessing dysphagia in people in all health contexts. Methodology: The mnemonic “PCC” was used to determine the population, concept and context. The participants are individuals to whom the scales and instruments were applied; the concept of dysphagia/swallowing disorders; the context will be all care delivery contexts. Results: Five studies were included, which present the following scales/instruments: Gugging Swallowing Screen scale (GUSS); Functional Oral Intake Scale (FOIS) and the Fiberoptic Endoscopic Dysphagia Severity Score (FEDSS); Massey Bedside Swallowing Screen; Post Extubation Dysphagia Screening Tool (PEDST) and Swallowing Algorithm post extubation (SAPE). Conclusion: The dysphagia assessment instruments/scales found include different methodologies, which, through different strategies, allow testing dysphagia and in turn making a diagnosis.
