Esta revisão de literatura sobre o Cisto Ósseo Traumático dos Maxilares foi realizada com o propósito de determinar a epidemiologia, achados clínicos e patológicos, além de discutir as formas de tratamento desta lesão. Embora alguns trabalhos insistam que esta lesão se resolve sem intervenção cirúrgica, os resultados deste estudo indicam que esta lesão em particular requer cirurgia para confirmação de diagnóstico.
A review of the literature on the Traumatic Bone Cyst of the jaws was realized with purpose to determine the epidemiology, clinical and pathologic findings, and discuss the ways of treatment of this lesion. Although some articles insists that the lesions resolve without surgical intervention, the results concerning that these particular cysts require operation to confirm the diagnosis.
