Abstract(s)
A adaptação dos tecidos peri-implantares tem sido um dos problemas na reabilitação oral, quer a nível da função quer a nível estético. Atualmente o paciente apresenta um padrão de beleza específico e uma expectativa mais elevada sobre os resultados clínicos. Teoricamente, o contorno subgengival deve ser uma fotocópia da morfologia da raíz e do terço cervical da coroa anatómica. Contudo, isso depende da disposição do implante no espaço tridimensional relativamente aos tecidos moles e duros. Idealmente, numa restauração sobre implantes o contorno crítico deve ser convexo, de forma a garantir uma arquitetura da margem gengival adequada. O objetivo da presente monografia é o de realizar uma revisão das evidências atualmente disponíveis relacionadas com o contorno subgengival (perfil crítico e perfil sub-crítico) e supragengival do perfil de emergência restaurador do implante (IREP), para uma melhor tomada de decisão a nível clínico.
The adaptation of peri-implant tissues has been one of the problems in oral rehabilitation, both in terms of function and aesthetics. Currently, the patient has specific beauty standards and higher expectations about clinical results. Theoretically, the subgingival contour should copy the morphology of the root and cervical third of the anatomical crown. However, this depends on the placement of the implant in the three-dimensional space in relation to the soft and hard tissues. Ideally, in an implant restoration, the critical contour should be convex in order to guarantee adequate gingival margin architecture. The purpose of this monograph is to review the currently available evidence related to the subgingival (critical and sub-critical profile) and supragingival contour of the implant restorative emergency profile (IREP), for better clinical decision-making.
