Abstract(s)
A instalação recente de computadores e de software nos clinicas pedagógicas de
Faculdade de Ciências de Saúde de Universidade Fernando Pessoa, permitindo uma gestão
numérica do processo do paciente despertou o meu interesse, levando-me a equacionar a
informatização de uma estrutura mais pequena como um consultório de Medicina Dentária.
O conteúdo do processo do paciente é feito de dados administrativos relativos a este,
aos antecedentes médicos e médico-dentista, aos dados de observação clínica, às consultas
realizadas e os dados aos provenientes da recolha de imagens. O registo informático permitiu
também uma planificação do consultório no momento da consulta.
Por outro lado, a fiabilidade, uma melhor acessibilidade e o armazenamento reduzido
dos processos e as vantagens da informatização estão em ligação com uma comunicação mais
fluída entre os profissionais de saúde e o paciente.
Deve ser dada uma atenção particular aos dados dos pacientes e ao respeito pelo sigilo
médico para reduzirmos os inconvenientes da informatização dos dados. As tecnologias
actuais permitem, por outro lado, garantir a perpetuação dos processos em caso de problemas
técnicos e um respeito pelas regras de higiene.
O processo do paciente é a tradução literal das observações clínicas, dos atos previstos
e realizados, das hipóteses de diagnóstico e das orientações terapêuticas. Permite o rastreio do
acompanhamento do paciente obrigando a ser fiável, repetível e transmissível. As qualidades
das ferramentas informáticas permitem responder a estes objectivos, garantindo uma
disponibilidade acrescida do médico para com o seu paciente e uma aproximação inovadora
na comunicação, permitindo uma melhor proximidade com o paciente facilitando o seu
relacionamento com a Medicina Dentária.
The last installation at the core of the dental center coupled to the Fernando Pessoa University of computers and software allow a digital management of the patient folder, interested me and lead me to raise the digitalization of a smaller structure as a dental center. The content of the patient folder is made of administrative data about the patient, his medical history and odontological, the clinical observation’s data, the completed acts and imagery data. The computing entry also allows a planning of the appointment in the dental office. In addition to the reliability, a better accessibility and a reduce storage of folders, the advantage of the computing are linked to a smoother communication between health professionals but also with the patients. A special attention must be done to the patients' data and to the respect of the medical secret to be free of the software tools cons. The actual technologies allow furthermore to ensure the continuity of the folders in case of failures and a respect of hygiene rules. The patient folder is the literal translation of the clinic observation, planned acts and realized, diagnostic hypothesis and therapeutic orientation. It allows traceability of the patient’s care and must be reliable, reproducible and communicable. The quality of the computing tools allows responding to theses objectives while ensuring a practitioner’s high availability for his patient and an innovative communication’s approach enabling a better adhesion of the patient to the odontology’s care.
