| dc.description.abstract | O presente estudo aborda o assunto da sensibilidade dentária em Dentística. Ela pode se apresentar na forma aguda e de curta duração, e pode ser consequência de cárie dentária e fracturas nos dentes, bem como por causas trans operatórias e pós operatórias. Pode ter como causas, a negligência no diagnóstico e os erros na execução dos procedimentos restauradores. Cabe ao médico dentista considerar aspectos de conduta clínica a fim de que o mesmo actue com o objetivo de evitar a probabilidade da ocorrência dessa condição, quando se realiza procedimentos cirúrgicos restauradores em seus pacientes. A fim de que os procedimentos restauradores não causem desconforto, que sejam duradouros e evitem possíveis constrangimentos ao paciente no seu dia a dia, torna-se necessário a realização de procedimentos restauradores com boa resistência marginal, para evitar fracturas e micro infiltrações na interface entre a estrutura dentária e o material restaurador. A não observância do protocolo de utilização dos materiais e das técnicas mais adequadas, acarretará em prejuízo nos resultados esperados e sensibilidade dolorosa pós-operatória. Deve também estar disposto a utilizar todos os recursos disponíveis necessários para realizar o tratamento. O objetivo do presente trabalho é o de realizar uma análise de vários trabalhos publicados de modo a avaliar a etiologia da sensibilidade dentária em Dentística, sendo que as causas podem ser pré, trans ou pós operatórias. O trabalho considera também o tratamento, os materiais restauradores mais adequados, e as técnicas em geral, visando a obtenção de procedimentos restauradores satisfatórios e duradouros, diante das forças mastigatórias e diante do fator tempo e que não causem desconforto e episódios dolorosos. Foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica, sendo que para o levantamento dos artigos na literatura realizou-se uma pesquisa através do motor de busca ‘B-on’, ‘Google Scholar e Acadêmico’ e nos repositórios das Universidades Fernando Pessoa, Universidade de São Paulo e Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Do processo de seleção, resultaram 46 artigos que constituem a amostra a integrar nesta revisão da literatura. Uma infinidade de pesquisas científicas em Medicina Dentária, inclusive em Estética, tem permitido acesso a informações valiosas para se realizar um correcto diagnóstico e tratamento para a sensibilidade dentinária. Além disso, a indústria disponibiliza ao médico dentista uma infinidade de opções de materiais odontológicos e equipamentos. Apesar de alguns desses materiais não serem considerados ideais, cabe ao profissional a decisão de utilizar as melhores opções e as melhores técnicas, tendo como objectivo produzir restaurações resistentes e com boa estética aos seus pacientes. As indicações e as técnicas podem ser bastante específicas. Assim, é de grande importância seguir as orientações do fabricante e agir em conformidade com o protocolo das técnicas indicadas para se realizar o melhor tratamento e obter os melhores resultados funcionais, biológicos e estéticos. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The present study considers the subject of dental sensitivity in Dentistry. It can present in the acute form and of short duration, and can be consequence of dental caries and fractures in the teeth, as well as trans operative and postoperative causes. Therefore, in dentistry, it can have as causes, negligence in diagnosis and errors in the execution of restorative procedures. It is up to the dentist to consider aspects of clinical behavior so that it acts with the objective of avoiding the probability of the occurrence of this condition, when performing restorative surgical procedures in its patients. In order that the restorative procedures do not cause discomfort, that they are durable and avoid possible constraints to the patient in their day by day, it is necessary to perform restorative procedures with good marginal resistance, to avoid fractures and micro infiltrations in the interface between the tooth structure and restorative material. Failure to comply with the protocol for the use of the materials and the most appropriate techniques will lead to a loss in the expected results and painful postoperative sensitivity. And you must be willing to use all the resources available to perform the treatment. The objective of the present study is to perform an analysis of several published works in order to evaluate the etiology of dental sensitivity in Dentistry, and the causes can be pre, trans or postoperative. The work also considers the treatment, the most suitable restorative materials, and the techniques in general, aiming to obtain satisfactory and lasting restorative procedures, in face of the masticatory forces and in the face of the time factor and that do not cause discomfort and painful episodes. A bibliographical review was carried out, and for the survey of the articles in the literature was carried out through the search engine 'B-on', 'Google Scholar and Academic' and in the repositories of University Fernando Pessoa, University of São Paulo and State University of Campinas. From the selection process, there were 46 articles that constitute the sample to be included in this review of the literature. A myriad of scientific researches in Dental Medicine, including Aesthetics, has allowed access to valuable information to make a correct diagnosis and treatment for dentin sensitivity. In addition, the industry provides the dentist with a multitude of options for dental materials and equipment. Although some of these materials are not considered ideal, it is the professional's decision to use the best options and the best techniques, with the objective of producing resistant restorations with good esthetics to their patients. The indications and techniques can be quite specific. It is therefore of great importance to follow the manufacturer's guidelines and to act in accordance with the protocol of the indicated techniques to perform the best treatment and obtain the best functional, biological and aesthetic results. | pt_PT |
