Abstract(s)

It occurs in children and young people, and very rarely in adults, causing mechanical irritation with bacterial presence. The aim of this narrative review is to carry out a literature review demonstrating all the scientific evidence available on the different treatment plans associated with the occurrence of pulp polyp in deciduous and permanent teeth. The literature search was carried out in the following electronic databases: Pubmed, B-On and Science direct. The key words were: "hyperplastic chronic pulpitis", "pulp polyp", "pulp", "hyperplasia", "treatment" combined in different ways using the Boolean operators "OR" and "AND". The final selection process resulted in 38 articles. The choice of treatment plan for hyperplastic pulpitis must take into account factors related to the patient, the type of tooth and the pulpal condition.
