Cianoacrilato versus fio de sutura em cirurgia oral: revisão integrativa

Introdução: Os cianoacrilatos são adesivos biológicos teciduais mais aplicados no mundo nas últimas décadas. Nos últimos anos têm vindo a ser estudados com alternativa às suturas convencionais devido às suas propriedades altamente positivas.
Objetivo- O objetivo deste trabalho foi apresentar uma compilação de dados reportados na literatura para comparar o uso do cianoacrilato com o uso de suturas convencionais em cirurgia oral.
Materiais e métodos: Este estudo apresenta uma revisão integrativa da literatura, realizada a partir de uma pesquisa de artigos publicados entre 1997 a 2021 na base de dados Medline/PubMed. Os termos MeSH utilizados para a busca foram: “Cyanoacrylate OR Cyanoacrylates AND Oral Surgery”; “Cyanoacrylate OR Cyanoacrylates AND Suture OR Sutures”; “Cyanoacrylate OR Cyanoacrylates AND Suture or Sutures AND Oral Surgery”.
Resultados- Foram encontrados 33 artigos, dos quais 27 foram excluídos após aplicados os critérios de inclusão e exclusão e após leitura dos resumos e textos na íntegra. Assim, 6 artigos foram incluídos nesta revisão.
Conclusão: Os estudos demonstraram que as colas de cianoacrilato podem ser utilizadas como alternativa às suturas convencionais em cirurgia oral, principalmente pela facilidade de aplicação, método rápido, melhores propriedades hemostáticas, cicatrização, propriedades antimicrobianas, propriedades bacteriostáticas e polimerização rápida.

In recente years, they have been studied as na alternative to conventional sutures due to their highly positive properties.
