Endodôntico é a limpeza do sistema canalar.
tradicionalmente executados.
Introduction: Laser technology and its application in the medical field has been recognized for more than thirty years as a therapeutic tool in several areas and forms of application. Dental medicine is one of the areas where this occurs, and with a recent and growing interest in research and development. There are several types of lasers in Dentistry with current application in the area of Dentistry, namely Nd Yag (Neodimioyag), Erbium, and Diode, are lasers that depending on their technical characteristics can be configured for biostimulation, disinfection or even cutting and modeling of tissues, both organic structures and soft tissues, or mineralized structures and hard tissues such as bone. The main purpose of an Endodontic treatment is the cleaning of the canal system. The canal system is more complex, there are lateral canals, anatomical structure and complicated, the use of conventional irrigators is not always sufficient. The use of Lasers in Endodontia has existed since 1970, and used as an aid in the disinfection of root canals. Aim: The objective of this dissertation is to evaluate the current situation of Lasers applications in Endodontics, and more particularly of CO2 Laser, in order to better understand their clinical implications as well as their indications, typologies, advantages, disadvantages and results. We can conclude that Laser technology presents itself as a potential clinical tool within the medical area of dental medicine. It has proven application in several areas and may be an option for conventional treatments or a co-adjuvant tool, thus completing the traditional procedures traditionally performed.
