Abstract(s)
dados, incluindo PubMed, OVID e Cochrane Library.
avaliados foram: precisão do implante, eficiência do tratamento, experiência do
cirurgião e satisfação do paciente.
convencional.
Objective: The present systematic review aims to compare guided implant surgery with conventional implant surgery. Methods: This review was conducted through a systematic search in several databases, including PubMed, OVID and Cochrane Library. An electronic search on PubMed, reporting randomized clinical trials on guided implant surgery over the past ten years published in dental journal, were selected and supplemented by a research on OVID and Cochrane Library, using the same criteria. Results: 19 articles were assessed, comparing the outcomes of guided and conventional protocols, used in the treatment of implant surgery. The clinical parameters assessed were: accuracy of implant, efficiency of treatment, surgeon’s experience, and patient’s satisfaction. Conclusions: Promising results were published recently regarding the accuracy and effectiveness of guided implant surgery. Significant differences in implant placement were observed within groups, being guided surgery more accurate than the conventional method.
