| dc.description.abstract | A cirurgia de levantamento de seio maxilar pela técnica aberta, janela lateral, tem sido amplamente utilizada para ajudar no processo de ganho de volume e no processo de reabilitação do arco superior-posterior de pacientes desdentados. A técnica cirúrgica padrão envolve a abertura lateral da região do seio maxilar com o descolamento da membrana sinusal e posterior preenchimento da cavidade com enxerto ósseo. A proposta desse trabalho é realizar uma revisão bibliográfica sobre a técnica da janela lateral no levantamento de seio maxilar. Alterações na arquitetura óssea maxilar advém de reabsorções fisiológicas ou patológicas do tecido ósseo, remodelação e pneumatização do seio maxilar e se tornam um desafio para as reabilitações implanto-suportadas. A técnica da janela lateral para ganho de altura e preenchimento ósseo, a partir de enxertos e biomateriais no seio maxilar, é amplamente descrita na literatura e é uma alternativa previsível, que demonstra bons resultados a curto e longo prazo. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Maxillary sinus lift surgery by the open technique, lateral window, has been widely used to assist in the process of volume gain and in the process of rehabilitation of the upperposterior arch of edentulous patients. The standard surgical technique involves lateral opening of the maxillary sinus region with detachment of the sinus membrane and posterior filling of the cavity with bone graft. The purpose of this study is a bibliographic review about the lateral window technique in the maxillary sinus lift. Maxillary bone architecture changes arise from physiological or pathological resorptions of bone tissue, remodeling and pneumatization of the maxillary sinus and become a challenge for implant-supported rehabilitations. The lateral window technique for bone augmentantion and bone filling from grafts and biomaterials in the maxillary sinus is widely described in the literature, and is a predictable alternative that demonstrates also good short and long-term results. | pt_PT |
