Abstract(s)
The constant evolution of restorative materials has been revolutionizing Dental Medicine, especially in aesthetics. The injection technique with fluid resins allows the rehabilitation of one or more teeth in the anterior and/or posterior sector, in permanent and deciduous dentition through the use of a transparent index in silicon. This technique has many indications such as a high predictability, it’s a reversible technique, becoming nowadays an alternative to other existing techniques. The recent evolution of fluid composites allows to obtain mechanical and aesthetic properties almost similar to conventional composites, allowing a good clinical applicability. The increased load content in fluid resins has improved its mechanical properties and thus increased wear resistance. The aim of this narrative review was to evaluate the performance and applicability of the fluid resin injection technique, addressing the main indications, advantages, disadvantages, limitations as well as the description of the clinical protocol. To this end, a survey was carried out with inclusion and exclusion in the main electronic databases Pubmed, Science Direct and B-On.
