| dc.description.abstract | Esta tese apresenta as diferentes técnicas de elevação do seio maxilar, tendo como fator diferenciado as vias de acesso: via lateral e via cristal. O objetivo é de apresentar as características e métodos de cada técnica, para determinar a utilização clínica. Avaliaremos as diferentes técnicas para o melhor crescimento da altura óssea. O sujeito é importante porque a população envelhece e, a altura da crista óssea diminui com a idade e como consequência das extrações. O objetivo destas técnicas é o de prevenir a utilização de prótese removível, incrementar o crescimento da altura óssea e, assim, utilizar os implantes como fonte reabilitadora. A técnica de elevação do seio tem grande importância na colocação de um implante. A perda de dentes é traumática para os pacientes e a colocação de um implante vai melhorar sua vida do ponto de vista estético e funcional. Contudo, o paciente tem de perceber a importância e os riscos da intervenção cirúrgica. Quando pretendemos colocar um implante, será importante ter uma altura óssea suficiente para a estabilização primária do implante. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This thesis presents the different techniques of maxillary sinus elevation, having as differentiated factor the access ways: lateral and via crestal. The objective is to present the characteristics and methods of each technique, to determine the clinical use. We will evaluate the different techniques for the best growth of bone height. The subject is important because the population ages, and the height of the bone crest decreases with age and as a consequence of extractions. The purpose of these techniques is to prevent the use of removable prosthesis, to increase the growth of bone height and, therefore, to use the implants as a rehabilitation source. The technique of sinus lift has great importance in the placement of an implant. The loss of teeth is traumatic for patients and the placement of an implant will improve their life from anesthetic and functional point of view. However, the patient has to realize the importance and risks of surgical intervention. When we intend to place an implant, it will be important to have sufficient bone height for primary stabilization of the implant. | pt_PT |
