Abstract(s)
O tratamento restaurador atraumatico, conhecido pela sigla do inglês ART, consiste em uma forma simplificada de atendimento, e um procedimento de remocão dos tecidos cariados com instrumentação manual, envolve restaurações atraumáticas e procedimentos educativos-preventivos. Dispensa uso de anestesia e isolamento absoluto, permitindo sua aplicação em locais desprovidos de equipamentos odontológicos.
O presente trabalho abordou o Tratamento Restaurador Atraumático com base em uma Revisão Integrativa da literatura abordando suas características, sua eficácia, indicações e sua evolução, novos materiais que permitam facilitar a realização do ART como ferramenta de controlo da cárie dentária no sistema de saúde pública.
O objetivo geral deste estudo foi realizar um levantamento bibliográfico sobre o Tratamento Restaurador Atraumático como alternativa necessária às diretrizes propostas por programas de saúde oral. A população foi constituída de toda a literatura indexada no portal de periódicos Scielo e na base de dados Medline e do Lilacs, obedecendo o período de 2000 a 2015. A amostra desta revisão resultou em 19 estudos.
Todos os autores citados ao longo desta seção referiram-se o Tratamento Restaurador Atraumático trazendo benefícios especialmente às crianças, devendo ser visto como método de tratamento alternativo para evitar a dor, desconforto e perda prematura dos dentes decíduos, ao mesmo tempo, oferecendo a possibilidade de combate à cárie e a preservação da dentição permanente.
Foi possível concluir que, de acordo com os estudos observados, o Tratamento Restaurador Atraumático mostra-se como técnica vantajosa sob o aspecto da relação custo/benefício , sendo necessario o conhecimento da tecnica entre os profissionais.
Atraumatic Restaurative Treatment, known as ART, consists in a simplified form of attendance, and a removal proceeding of tooth decay with manual instrument, involves atraumatic restaurations and preventive/educative proceedings. It doesn’t necessitate use of anesthesia and absolute isolation, allowing its application in areas lacking in dental equipments. This study addressed the Atraumatic Restorative Treatment based on an integrative review of the literature addressing its characteristics, its effectiveness, indications and its evolution, new materials to facilitate the realization of ART as a control tool of dental caries in the public health system. Thus, the main purpose is to offer subsidies so that its adoption is designed as a technique by the professionals of dentistry. The aim of this study was to conduct a literature review on ART as a necessary alternative to the proposed guidelines for oral health programs. The population consisted of all indexed literature in Scielo journals portal and database Medline and Lilacs, following the period 2000-2015, the sample of this review resulted in 19 studies. The ionomer has good compatibility with the pulp and dentin. Important to realize that all the authors cited throughout this section referred to ART trazwendo benefits especially children, should be seen as an alternative treatment method to avoid pain, discomfort and premature loss of the deciduous teeth at the same time, offering the possibility to fight decay and preservation of permanent dentition. It was concluded that, according to the observed studies, the ART is shown as advantageous technique from the aspect of cost / benefit but requires a good knowledge among professionals.
