Atualmente, a preocupação constante dos pacientes com a estética do sorriso, refletiu-se num surgimento, de dispositivos ortodonticos cada vez mais pequenos. Os braquetes autoligáveis ao apresentarem esta característica associada à não utilização de bandas ou elásticos, e por consequência , redução do atrito e sintomatologia presente na fase de alinhamento, tornou-se um dispositivo a estudar no que respeita as suas vantagens e desvantagens.
De acordo com a bibliografia consultada, estes aparelhos permitem a obtenção de excelentes resultados, quer a nível da correção da anomalia apresentada, quer a nível de conforto e estética durante o próprio tratamento.
Promovendo uma expansão dos arcos dentários, permitindo tratamentos sem extração dentária que afetam mais os pré-molares. O objetivo do presente estudo é então, avaliar, com recurso à revisão da literatura, as vantagens e desvantagens dos aparelhos ortodônticos através da utilização do sistema dos braquetes autoligáveis.
Currently, patients' constant concern with smile aesthetics has been reflected in the emergence of increasingly smaller orthodontic devices. The self-ligating brackets with this feature associated with the non-use of bands or elastics, and consequently, reduced friction and symptomatology present in the alignment phase, has become a device to study regarding its advantages and disadvantages. According to the bound bulbography, these appliances allow the obtaining of excellent results or at the level of the correction of the anomaly presented, both at the level of comfort and aesthetics during the treatment itself. Promoting an expansion of dental arches, allowing treatments without dental extraction that affect more pre-molars. The objective of the present study is then to evaluate, with respect to the revision of the literature, the advantages and disadvantages of the orthodontic appliances through the use of the system of the autocommal brackets.
