Resumo(s)
Objetivo: Contribuir para um maior conhecimento da eficácia e previsibilidade do recobrimento radicular em recessões gengivais de classe III de Miller.
Materiais e métodos: Realizou-se uma pesquisa bibliográfica, recorrendo à base de dados
MEDLINE/PubMed para estudos realizados em humanos, publicados nos últimos 10 anos.
Apenas foram incluídos revisões sistemáticas, meta-análises e ensaios clínicos randomizados.
Resultados: Em casos de mínima perda de inserção interdentária, o recobrimento radicular completo é possível. Contudo, à luz dos conhecimentos atuais, nenhuma recomendação pode ser feita no que respeita à seleção de uma técnica em detrimento de outra.
Conclusões: São necessários mais estudos para validar e confirmar estes achados e poder definir de maneira fiável qual é a melhor técnica para o tratamento de recessões classes de Miller III.

Material and methods: has been made a bibliographic review using the database MEDLINE/PubMed looking for studies made in humans and published in the last 10 years. It was only included systematic reviews, meta-analysis and randomized clinical trial. Results: In cases of minimal loss of interdental insertion, complete root coverage is possible. However, as far as we know, it’s impossible to make any recommendation on the selection of a technique instead of another. Conclusions: Further studies are needed to accept and confirm these findings and to can identify in a reliable way the best technique for the treatment of Miller classes III recessions.
