Abstract(s)
A obtenção da estética em próteses unitárias sobre implante depende de quesitos como o correto posicionamento tridimensional do implante, adequado rebordo ósseo e volume de tecido mole satisfatório. O objetivo desta revisão literária é abordar a real importância da coroa provisória no sucesso estético do tratamento. Artigos científicos publicados nos últimos 10 anos que abordam as funções da provisionalização e o momento que a coroa provisória deve ser usada foram revisados, e foi destacada a sua importância, quando a instalação do implante imediata à exodontia em região anterior de maxila, para a manutenção do arcabouço periimplantar, de tecidos moles e duros, proporcionando maior previsibilidade ao trabalho cerâmico final. Concluiu-se que a coroa provisória, imediata ou tardia, em implantes unitários em região anterior de maxila, é uma importantíssima aliada na obtenção da estética no trabalho final.
Obtaining aesthetics in unit prostheses on implant depends on requirements such as: the correct three-dimensional positioning of the implant, adequate bone edge and satisfactory soft tissue volume. The aim of this literary review is to address the real importance of the provisional crown in the aesthetic success of the treatment. Scientific articles published in the last 10 years addressing the functions of provisionalization and the moment that the provisional crown should be used were reviewed, and its importance was highlighted when the installation of the implant immediate to exodontia, in a region anterior jaw for maintaining the perimeter framework, of soft and hard tissues, providing greater predictability to final ceramic work. It is concluded that the provisional crown, immediate or delayed, on unit implants in anterior region of maxilla, is a very important ally in obtaining aesthetics in the final work.
