The aim of the present study was to present the different endodontic treatments adapted to necrotic immature permanent teeth. Considering anatomical particularities of this type of teeth, apexification and revascularization techniques will be studied and compared. A systematic literature search was carried out in Pubmed and Scielo databases. A total of 1395 articles were found and, after applying the eligibility criteria, 13 studies were considered for the review with patients of various ages and types of teeth treated with apexification or revascularization were evaluated. Including 6 that combined common characteristics to be able to compare them and the respective reference lists were used to deepen and complement the study. Apexification promotes apical hard tissue barrier allowing faster treatment with immediate filling. Revascularization aims to promote the continuous development of the root with the growth of repair tissue mediated by stem cells. With the common purpose of resolving the lesion and keeping the tooth functional.
