O conceito de estética é cada vez mais valorizado pelos pacientes, portanto, no que diz
respeito à reabilitação oral grande percentagem dos pacientes que procuram o consultório de
Medicina Dentária pretendem solucionar problemas que comprometam a harmonia facial e
dentária.
O tratamento com facetas cerâmicas é escolhido para restabelecer a estética em dentes,
principalmente, anteriores com mal-formações, descolorações, traumatismos, posição
alterada, fraturas ou desgastes.
Com esta revisão bibliográfica expõe-se a opinião de diferentes autores no que diz respeito à
cimentação adesiva de facetas cerâmicas, sobre quais as cerâmicas mais utilizadas, os tipos de
preparos, os sistemas adesivos, o tratamento da superfície da peça cerâmica, e,
principalmente, os agentes cimentantes mais apropriados para a abordagem clínica.
Foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica (2001 a 2018), com recurso às bases de dados
Science Direct, Google Académico, Elsevier Medline e B-ON com as palavras-chave:
“Facetas laminadas”, “facetas cerâmicas”, “cimentação”, “ cerâmicas dentárias”, “cimentação
adesiva “ e “tratamentos estéticos”.
De acordo com a literatura, a constante evolução no âmbito dos materiais dentários e
diferentes técnicas adesivas impõem que os Médicos Dentistas atualizem o seu conhecimento
regularmente, conseguindo assim acompanhar este desenvolvimento. É, então de grande
importância o conhecimento dos materiais existentes no mercado e as técnicas utilizadas para
a adesão de facetas cerâmicas e aptidão técnica.
Este estudo permitiu concluir que a utilização de facetas minimamente invasivas é uma
óptima opção de tratamento e, quando o protocolo de cimentação adesiva é criteriosamente
executado as taxas de sucesso clínico são excelentes.
The concept of aesthetics is increasingly valued by patients, therefore, with regard to oral rehabilitation, a large percentage of patients who seek dental surgery seek to solve problems that compromise facial and dental harmony. The treatment with ceramic facets is chosen to reestablish the esthetics in teeth, mainly, with previous malformations, discolorations, traumatisms, altered position, fractures or abrisions. This literature review presents the opinion of different authors regarding adhesive cementation of ceramic facets, which are the most used ceramics, types of preparations, adhesive systems, treatment of the surface of the ceramic part, the most appropriate cementing agents for the clinical approach. A bibliographic research was carried out (2001 to 2018) using the databases Science Direct, Google Scholar, Elsevier Medline and B-ON with the keywords "Laminate veneers", "cementation", "dental ceramics" aesthetic treatment "and" ahdesive cementation ". According to the literature, the constant evolution in dental materials and different adhesive techniques require that the Dental Medical Doctors update their knowledge regularly, thus managing to follow these developments. It is therefore of great importance the knowledge of the existing materials in the market and the techniques used for the adhesion of ceramic facets and technical skills. This study allowed the conclusion that the use of minimally invasive facets is an excellent treatment option and, when the adhesive cementation protocol is carefully executed, clinical success rates are excellent.
