Hoje em dia a estética ocupa um papel central na autoestima do ser humano. Os dentes são um órgão policromático que sofre ao longo do tempo alterações na sua cor. Com o envelhecimento o esmalte sofre um desgaste e a dentina torna-se mais densa provocando o escurecimento dentário, assim como há situações em que a estrutura dentária pode sofrer danos, levando à necessidade de implementação de procedimentos de restaurações dentárias e de tratamentos mais complexos, através da ajuda do laboratório e de alguns métodos auxiliares.
A reposição da estrutura dentária danificada recorre à utilização de técnicas e materiais que permitem reproduzir as propriedades e características dos dentes, melhorando a forma, e assim atingindo um melhor resultado estético, especialmente com uma correta escolha de cor.
Esta dissertação tem como principal objetivo a análise da determinação de cor dentária através dos vários métodos de comunicação entre o médico dentista e o laboratório de prótese, com o auxílio de diferentes instrumentos disponíveis na atualidade.
Nowadays, aesthetics plays a central role in human self-esteem. Teeth are a polychromatic organ that undergoes changes in color over time. With aging, the enamel wears out and the dentin becomes denser, causing tooth darkening, as well as situations in which the tooth structure can suffer damage, leading to the need to implement dental restoration procedures and more complex treatments. through the help of the laboratory and some auxiliary methods. The replacement of the damaged tooth structure resorts to the use of techniques and materials that allow the reproduction of the properties and characteristics of the teeth, improving the shape, and thus achieving a better aesthetic result, especially with a correct choice of color. The main objective of this dissertation is to analyze the determination of tooth color through the various methods of communication between the dentist and the prosthesis laboratory, with the help of different instruments currently available.
