Abstract(s)
Bulimia nervosa is one of the most frequent and emerging eating disorders. Binge eating, followed by inappropriate compensatory behaviors, in order to compensate for excess calories and avoid weight gain, are its main characteristics. With a multifactorial cause, it preferentially affects women between late adolescence and early adulthood, but it remains present for many years and is difficult to treat. From the many implications for the patient’s general health, those affecting the oral cavity are the first to be noted. This dissertation oversees the implications of bulimia nervosa in the oral cavity, supporting them with the presentation of a clinical case.
